Professional Tutors of America has been helping children for 40 years, since 1983.  We are also a certified Non-Public Agency (NPA) through the California Department of Education. Our Special Education Department is contracted with over 300 school districts and Charter Schools in California. We offer a variety of services including Academic Instruction, Occupational Therapy, Language and Speech, Counseling and Mental Health Services. The services we provide are a combination of Compensatory Services, Home/Hospital Instruction, as well as in some cases Primary Instruction and/or Therapy.

Our model is entirely 1-to-1, and our services are provided either at the student’s home or the nearest public library if home is not a suitable location. Our providers are able to create their own schedules with the parents based on their availability. The majority of our services are provided outside of school hours, either in the afternoon, evenings and weekends if desired. We also have some assignments that are available during the school day for those looking for daytime work. As a provider, you can work with as few (1) or as many (10+) students as you would like to have on your caseload. In addition to your hourly wage, we also compensate our providers for Administrative (Non-Instructional Time), Qualified Travel Time, and provide Qualified Mileage Reimbursement. Our providers have the right to accept/decline an assignment based on the needs of the student as well as their preferred schedule.
